FOUNDER

Robert Rametti has been a K-12 educator for nearly fifteen years and is the founder of PD WORKS. Rob served with distinction as an English teacher and teacher leader at Brighton High in the Boston Public Schools until 2012. During that time, he led various school improvement efforts, including through the creation of an online social networking site to facilitate cross-departmental collaboration, promoting increased engagement in school culture by all constituents, facilitating colleagues in data inquiry cycles, directing an after-school program for at-risk students, and supporting new and novice teachers. This stand-out leadership from the classroom led to his appointment in 2013 as Principal of the Edwards Middle School. As a principal, Rob revealed himself to be a strong, systematic instructional leader. He instituted shared instructional expectations across classrooms, implemented data inquiry cycles, employed a differentiated array of intervention and acceleration strategies, and facilitated the design of an advisory program grounded in a strong curriculum. Most recently, from 2017-2020 Rob led Brighton High School through its first three years of “turnaround”, implementing a Linked Learning college and career pathway model, data driven instructional cycles, and enhanced opportunities for teacher leadership.

Mr. Rametti is a National Board Certified Teacher in Young Adult and Adolescent Literacy. In 2015, Mr. Rametti was named a Lynch Fellow through the Lynch Leadership Academy at Boston College. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Boston College, and holds an M.A.T. in Teaching English from BC and a C.A.G.S. in Educational Leadership from Northeastern University.
